Kids Camp: Restaurant Favorites July 24-27 Ages 8-12

French Bistro: Croque Monsieur & Madame Sandwich

On your first day of “Restaurant Favorites” you travel to a French café. The “croque Monsieur” is the classic Parisian café sandwich. It’s a fancy ham & cheese. Then it becomes a “croque Madame” when you add a perfectly fried egg on top. In this class Chef will teach you all the skills you need to create this perfectly French sandwich. You will make a fresh summer vegetable salad & a dessert of carmelized banana.

American Favorites: Crispy Parmesan Chicken Tenders with Lemon Herb Pan sauce

Your restaurant theme continues with a twist on Chicken tenders. You will take home all the skills to make this elevated version of a restaurant favorite for your family or to impress your friends. At your own station you will learn how to properly cook chicken & deglaze. You will create a tasty pan sauce & learn to sauté vegetables. Finally, you will make a refreshing summer fruit dessert.

Sushi Bar: California Roll & Crunchy Shrimp Roll

TLK created this class just for kids. You will learn how to roll your own sushi. Chef will explain how to make sushi rice; proper cutting techniques & explain the ingredients used & where to get them. This class will teach you the fundamentals of creating California Rolls (Cooked) & Crunchy Shrimp Rolls. (Cooked) You will also make your own siracha mayo & enjoy a sweet treat at the end of class.

Secret Ingredient Competition

Put your new skills to the test! Using 3 secret ingredient you will make a meal and be judged on taste, originality and use of the secret ingredients and plating. Chef will be available to offer you guidance and answer your questions. Our pantry will be stocked full to spark your culinary imagination. The TLK Top Chef will be awarded a $25.00 TLK Gift Card.
